FIGHT!!! TAKE YOUR PLACE,STAND YOUR GROUND and FIGHT

Believers over the years have been taught to turn the other cheek when treated badly or facing difficult situations. The situation is not always the same, we may be required to take our place, stand our ground and fight.

GET UP and FIGHT!!

We, as the children of God, are to understand that it is all joy to face persecutions for our faith in our Lord, it is an honour and a privilege, even to the place of being martyred for our faith.

This is not to be confused with taking our place and dealing with satanic attack on our lives or being physically bullied or abused.

Jesus says in Matthew 11:12 “from the days of John the baptist until now, the Kingdom of heaven suffers violence…”

We all know from scripture that the “Kingdom” is within you, near you, it is here and now. This is the Kingdom of God, which is freedom from all bondage, liberty of soul, life giving for eternity, health in our physical bodies, victory over ever sin and work of darkness. The Kingdom is the free flowing of the Holy Spirit in us, refer to Matt 12:28.

Satan is waging war on this Kingdom of God in us.

The Church are to rise up, take our place, stand our ground and fight. Our Lord gave Israel the promised land, Joshua and the people had to go in and fight for it.

We are at war, get up and fight.

Satan will throw everything he has at us; we are not to accept what he tries to put on us.

Ecclesiastes 4:9 and 12

9 Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor.

12 Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

We have a spouse, we have brothers, sisters, mothers and fathers in Christ. We are family, we stand together and fight. We fight until we have victory. Stand up for each other and fight.

Ephesians 6 teaches us about the whole armour of God. We are to stand in truth and authenticity as the belt of truth holds it all together. When we are authentic, genuine, and the real deal.Clothed in the Spirit of Truth we stand in the “strength of the Lord and the power of His might.” If we are in sin, we are not able to take our place, we are defeated before we start. Satan has legal ground to bring accusation against you.

There is no victory until we repent of our sin.

Goliath was trying to put fear and oppression on Israel with his abusive slandering, yet David who stood in the strength of the Lord was able to withstand him. Goliath had no right to do what he did, and David knew it. Satan will try put something on us even when he is not allowed to.

We are not to accept it in any way, shape or form. When we are in Christ we are, in covenant with God, we are undefiled; we stand in authority and power.

Who are you, to try putting your filth on me, my sister, brother or my family?

Goliath had no right therefore he was defeated.

What is required of us?

· Exodus 15:3

Our God is a man of war, the Lord is His name.

·Revelation 2:16

Repent, or else I will come to you quickly and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth.

· Ephesians 6:17

…and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Our God is a man of war, He fights with the sword of His mouth, and He has given us His word which is the sword of the Spirit.

We are to rise up in truth, God’s strength, take God’s word and fight.

Nehemiah 4; gives the account of how he was rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem and had a lot of opposition. In verse 14 he says, “Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, great and awesome, and fight for your brethren, your sons, your daughters, your wives and your houses”

We are to rise up, take our place, hold the line and fight.Take the word of God, which is Living, active, vibrant, a sword, a stone, a hammer, fire,and fight against the attacks that come against our spouses, children, brothers, sisters - our family in Christ.
