O Brilliant Saviour,
Light of the World,
Who Came unto Earth to Deliver us all
The Prince of Peace whom no darkness could vanquish,
So it bears no wonder
That this fallen world still observes Christmas
But let this be a reminder
To all hearts, both far and near,
For it is written: Stand firm, the Lord’s coming is near
Brothers and Sisters, tis our duty His will be done
On Earth as it is in Heaven,
His Kingdom Come
Thus do not be swayed
by this season’s greetings,
Yes, joy may fill your heart
But is it for the right reason?
Carols and eggnog
Festivities and cheer,
Yet there can be no heaven on Earth
until Jesus Christ is here
The greatest gift of the season
Is your God-given life,
So may you use it for His Glory
— Speak His name into the night
Once the presents have been opened
and the clock strikes :01,
When the special day is over
and the world declares there is no more to be done
You, oh child of Yeshua,
will know this is far from truth,
for His Spirit lives on
regardless of how time moves
I depart from you with this, a small message
But of great duty to bear:
May you use this as a time of drawing closer
To the One who has always been near.
Amen.
